Guitar!
In this project me and my partner made a guitar/uke. The reason we decided out of all our projecsts to red this one is because the first was bad. It was barely a board wit a string attached and we new we could do better.Although i refer to it as a guitar by shape it plays like a ukulele hence why its half and half. Back to the Guitar it has 4 strings with the notes G4,C4,E4,A4. The reason we decided to make it a hybrid guitar is because we didn't have enough supplys to make a full guitar. so we worked with what we had and made a ukulele. Although visually it may not be up to par it does what its meant to do a plays good music.
String instrument knowledge
The string instrument is really easy to play, but hard to master. Anyone can strum a few strings but to get them to play beautifully you must tune the instrument so it sounds good and so it will match the tune a song needs in order to sound right. To make the sound the user needs to pluck it to make the wires vibrate and create the preferred note. Then to change sound to a sharp, flat, or even another note you must hold the other string down with your other hand. By tightening the string the note gets higher. When you loosen it the note will be low. When you tighten it the note gets higher and thus will vibrate more creating the higher note compared to when its loose it will not vibrate as much creating a lower note. Since we know that a ukulele is makes a higher pitch sound we found thinner strings that could hold the tension and would not snap. We were then able to make a proper tuned one.
Reflection:
This project was really good and I'm glad i got to clean up an old mess. I know its not great to call my old project a mess, but it was really poorly done. Now me and my partner were able to focus and make our guitar alot better. The peaks were being able to get the parts at the music store because the guy who owns the shop was there. Which made it a heck of a lot easier to make. The pits were that there was not enough time to do it. With little time we felt rushed. In the end though we ended up making it on time. With no faults except a rough looking exterior i think this is a great faze 2 of learning how to build and modify to make a better plane.
